GNU Pinch is an analytical tool designed for the energy optimization of industrial processes involving heating and cooling requirements. It is comprised of two modules: Uses the pinch analysis methodology for minimising the energy consumption of industrial processes by calculating thermodynamically feasible energy targets (or minimum energy consumption). This goal is achieved by optimising heat recovery systems, energy supply methods and process operating conditions. This methodology is also known as process integration, heat integration, energy integration or pinch technology. Package for the dynamic simulation and visualization of energy transfer flows in user-defined ideal systems. All software here available is distributed under the terms of the General Public License (version 3). |
